2006 Estate Chardonnay 

Chardonnay is one of the classic Hunter Valley varieties. Our 2006 estate grown Chardonnay grapes were rich in sugar, and the colour and firmness of the fruit were top class. This wine has a beautiful fruit flavour with overtones of citrus and apple that combines well with its lightly oaked palate. It is an excellent complement to fish, veal or chicken dishes. Buy Now!

2005 Clare Terese Signature Chardonnay 

Our Signatue wines are produced on an irregular basis, and only when we have a fruit harvest of exceptional quality. The 2005 Clare Terese Chardonnay is made from our "top block" vines that were planted in 1989. The 2005 growing season in the Hunter yielded fruit of excellent quality, and the grapes for this wine were hand picked early in the morning of February 4, 2005. Crushing was completed by 9am on the same day and the juice received very careful attention by the winemakers through every step of the development process.

The wine was matured in new French oak barrels from 3 different cooperages to create complementary influences and to enhance the flavours before final blending. The result is a complex varietal wine with a rich palate. This is an outstanding example of the winemaker's art - a wine for connoisseurs. Buy Now!

2006 Verdelho

Luscious ripe tropical fruit flavours. Well balanced with a crisp finish. Our Verdelho is produced in the drier style to capture the gorgeous flavour of the grapes. An excellent example of the variety. Buy Now!

2005 Estate Semillon 

The Hunter Valley is world famous for its semillons. Our 2005 Semillon is a classic Hunter style with an aroma of lemon, lime and peach. The palate is light bodied, flavoursome and well-balanced, with excellent length. It is very fresh and attractive as a young wine, but it will also reward careful cellaring for up to 10 years. 2005 Estate Shiraz 

This wine shows complex aromas that are characteristic of high quality Hunter shiraz. Delicate berry aromas combine with savoury earth and spice characters to give great complexity. Made from hand picked grapes, the wine was matured in new and aged French oak barrels prior to bottling. With velvety tannins and great depth of flavour, this wine can be enjoyed now, but will also cellar well for at least 10 years.  Buy Now!

2005 Thomas Charles Reserve Shiraz

2005 Petit Verdot

Petit Verdot grapes make full bodied wines that have great colour and spicy characters. The wine is often blended with cabernet varieties to enhance colour and flavour, but this one is a single varietal petit verdot from the excellent 2005 vintage. As a single varietal this is a rich and complex wine that is ready for drinking now, but with careful cellaring will continue to develop in the bottle for the medium term. Perfect with meat dishes. 2005 Estate Sangiovese

A real Italian favourite! Our 2005 sangiovese has a vibrant purple hue and shows intense aromas of blueberry, cherry and spice. The palate has good flavour intensity framed by velvety tannins. 2005 Estate Merlot

While merlot is often blended with other red wines, this merlot is a single varietal wine from the excellent 2005 vintage. The wine exhibits the real merlot characteristics - rich plummy dark berry fruit flavour - and has a generous, fleshy fruit palate with a subtle tannin structure. Perfect drinking now, and will reward careful cellaring for up to five years. Our Merlot is a great companion to lamb and poultry dishes, and combines beautifully with softer cheeses. Buy Now!

The Cabernets 2006 

This wine is a blend of our estate grown cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc wines, made from grapes that were harvested in the long mild summer of 2006. Each of the wines was matured in French and American oak barrels prior to final blending  The blend was given increased complexity by the addition of small quantities of merlot and petit verdot. This classical combination has produced a beautifully balanced dry wine with blackberry and raspberry flavours together with overtones of herbs and mint. 2005 Rosé

Definitely not your father’s rosé!
Our 2005 Rosé is made from a blend of Sangiovese and Merlot grapes and is wonderfully fresh. It has a thirst-quenching cherry floral aroma with undertones of strawberries. The palate is long and savoury with a touch of residual sweetness at the finish. Served chilled, it is an excellent aperitif, and can be a perfect accompaniment to salads, fish or chicken meals. 2007 Dessert Semillon

This "sticky" is made from grapes that were harvested late in the season to produce a luscious dessert style wine. The bouquet is fresh and fruity with lemon and marmalade aromas, and the palate has an intense sweet fruit flavour that is balanced by a crisp clean acid finish.
